In search of a forgotten past

 
On December 15th 2017 , the 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference "Yezidi: History, Culture, Spirituality, Modernity" was held in Moscow. It was organized by the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Scientific Research Institute of the Yezidi History and Religion.

Dasni Yuri Romanovich, the director of the Research Institute of the European Research Institute, addressed the audience with an introductory speech. Following him, with a salutatory word from the IAS RAS the doctor of historical sciences, professor Belokrenitsky Vyacheslav Yakovlevich. The moderator of the conference was Vadim Vladimirovich Makarenko.

The conference program consisted of 3 meetings. Reports were made by Yezidi scholars, writers, linguists, Kurdologists and members of the Yezidi centers.

The meeting was held in the main Conference Hall of the IAS RAS at the address: ul. Rozhdestvenka, house 12/1, Moscow.
