The official name is the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Scientific Research Institute of the Yezidi History and Religion".
Today it is a successful, dynamically developing research organization that has accreditation in many educational organizations in the world. The Institute conducts research work on the history and religion of the Yezidis, implements programs in the system of additional professional education.
Mission and development strategy
Yezidism is still a little studied subject, which lacks fundamental scientific research. Educational centers that study the history and religion of the Yezidis do not exist in the whole world.
Our mission is to research the history and religion of the Yezidi people, to write reliable information and to compile general educational programs on the Yezidis in the system of additional professional education. We are preparing ezidologists, capable of working in creative groups, exploring and writing the Yezidi history and continuing their academic careers.
The Institute is unique, and to this day the world's only scientific community in which theunexamined past of the Yezidis, the innovative thinking of contemporary Orientalists, combined with the many years of practical experience of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences are embodied in real projects. Interested people in this matter will receive reliable knowledge in the history and religion of the Yezidis all over the world, supported by fundamental research of qualified specialists, well-known orientalists and religious scholars.
The most successful projects end with writing articles, monographs and books - creating a true picture of the history of the Yezidis and their religion. Fundamental works are evaluated by independent experts and in the future will serve as a basis for creating a written source about the history and religion of the Yezidis.
