Archaeologists have discovered an ancient site near the Raparrin district of Kurdistan Region which dates back to thousands of years ago.

Barzan Bayiz, head of Raparrin Directorate for Archaeology, confirmed the report to BasNews and said that a group of experts from the University of Copenhagen are now working on the site.

According to the official, the archaeological site is believed to be over 5,500 years old.
